About Us
Our Story
Our story begins in Costa Rica, where Steven’s mother, Ada, spent long days picking coffee beans to provide for her family. From her, he learned that coffee is more than a crop, it’s a way of life, grounded in sacrifice, resilience, and love.
Today, Turtle Beans Coffee honors that legacy while celebrating coffee origins from across the world like the lush hills of Costa Rica to the vibrant farms of Veracruz, the Blue Mountains in Jamaica, and beyond. Each bean carries a story, and each roast is crafted to connect you to the people and places behind your cup.
We believe coffee is sacred: a chance to pause, breathe, and share time with friends. From farmers rising before dawn to baristas perfecting each pour, everyone in the coffee journey is linked by a spirit of community and every sip brings us closer together.
As a young company, we give back generously to honor the people who make coffee possible. With every purchase, you help us support farmers, artisans, and local causes. We are committed to ensuring that Turtle Beans Coffee is more than a brand, and that it is a movement of connection and care.
Steven & linda
Like many of us, Steven has walked through seasons of deep change and unexpected growth. After graduating from high school and spending his youth working in the coffee fields, his journey led him into international policy a field that opened his eyes to how deeply interconnected our world truly is. Later, his time as a pastor added another layer of meaning, shaping his sense of spirituality, compassion, and the sacred connection between people, nature, and the stories we share.
Along that path, he met Linda — someone who not only loves food, but understands it on a deeper, almost intuitive level. Raised in Washington State, right in the heart of the Pacific Northwest the coffee capital of the U.S. she was shaped by Seattle’s vibrant food and coffee culture. Blending that West Coast vibe with her rich Mexican foodie roots (especially baking), she developed a natural gift for flavor, balance, and good taste. Everything she touched had soul, depth, and intention.
Their worlds clicked instantly.
Today, Steven and Linda together with their dogs Gordo and Nala, their kitten Osiris, and all their friends at the Coffee House in Bordentown City, NJ believe more than ever in the importance of slowing down, savoring each sip, and honoring the stories behind every cup.
With gratitude,
Thank you for being part of our story
Sip Slowly. Savor Life. Turtle Beans Coffee.

More Than Just Coffee
A Heritage of Heart & Community
See What Others are Saying

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a real community feel—you can tell they put a lot of love into the place. The staff is always friendly and makes you feel right at home. We especially love sitting outside on nice days; it’s such a relaxing way to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the town go by.
Another thing that makes this place special is how animal-friendly they are. Our dog absolutely loves coming along with us and getting her pup-cup (pupacino). It’s become part of our family routine, and it makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.
It’s the kind of spot that makes Bordentown special—a small business that gives you quality, consistency, and charm every time. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re nearby!
